Classification of aluminum foil
thicknessAluminum foil can be divided into thick foil, single zero foil, and double zero foil based on thickness differences.aluminum foilaluminum foil① Thick foil: Foil with a thickness of 0.1-0.2mm.② Medium gauge foil: foils with a thickness of 0.01mm and less than 0.1mm/.③ Double zero foil: The so-called double zero foil is a foil with two zeros after the decimal point when its thickness is measured in millimeters. It is usually aluminum foil with a thickness less than 0.01, that is, aluminum foil with a thickness of 0.005-0.009mm. Sometimes in foreign countries, aluminum foil with a thickness of ≤ 40ltm is referred to as "light gauge foil", while aluminum foil with a thickness of>40btm is collectively referred to as "heavy gauge foil".shapeAluminum foil can be divided into rolled aluminum foil and sheet aluminum foil according to their shape. The majority of aluminum foil deep processing raw materials are supplied in rolls, and only a few handicraft packaging occasions use sheet aluminum foil.Aluminum foil can be divided into hard foil, semi hard foil, and soft foil according to their state.① Hard foil: Aluminum foil that has not undergone softening treatment (annealing) after rolling, and when not degreased, there may be residue on the surface. Therefore, hard foil must undergo degreasing treatment before printing, lamination, and coating. If used for forming processing, it can be directly used.② Semi hard foil: Aluminum foil with a hardness (or strength) between hard and soft foils, usually used for forming and processing.③ Soft foil: Aluminum foil that has become soft after being fully annealed after rolling, with a soft material and no residual oil on the surface. Most application areas, such as packaging, composite, electrical materials, etc., use soft foil.surface state Aluminum foil can be divided into one sided glossy aluminum foil and two sided glossy aluminum foil according to its surface state.① Single sided glossy aluminum foil: Double rolled aluminum foil, with one side bright and one side dark after being rolled, is called single sided glossy aluminum foil. The thickness of aluminum foil on one side usually does not exceed 0.025mm.② Double sided glossy aluminum foil: Single rolled aluminum foil, with both sides in contact with the rolling roller. The two sides of the aluminum foil are divided into mirror faced two sided glossy aluminum foil and ordinary two sided glossy aluminum foil due to different surface roughness of the rolling roller. The thickness of double-sided aluminum foil is generally not less than 0.01mm.Processing statusAluminum foil can be divided into plain foil, embossed foil, composite foil, coated foil, colored aluminum foil, and printed aluminum foil according to the processing status.① Plain foil: Aluminum foil that is rolled without any other processing, also known as plain foil.② Embossed foil: Aluminum foil with various patterns pressed on the surface.③ Composite foil: A composite aluminum foil formed by bonding aluminum foil with paper, plastic film, and cardboard.④ Coated foil: Aluminum foil coated with various resins or paints on the surface.⑤ Colored aluminum foil: Aluminum foil coated with a single color on the surface. ⑥ Printing aluminum foil: Aluminum foil that forms various patterns, patterns, text, or images on the surface through printing can be of one color, with up to 12 colors available.Soft aluminum foil can be further applied
